Panagiota joined Purdue in 2009 as a founding member of the Architectural Engineering Program within the School of Civil Engineering and since then she has played a leading role in establishing the new program. Her research interests are broadly related to smart buildings and energy-aware communities. She is the recipient of the 2014 Wansik Research Excellence Award at Purdue, the 2013 New Investigator Award from ASHRAE and serves as an Editor for the Energy and Buildings journal.
